From May 24th to 25th, 2025, the historic Gongkwon Yusul Grand Master Seminar took place in Coesfeld, Germany.

Right in the heart of Europe, Black Belt Masters from 9 different countries gathered alongside local German members to share an incredible, high-energy weekend. Far more than a typical martial arts workshop, this seminar served as an inspiring festival—a place to share the deep philosophy and precise techniques of Gongkwon Yusul while uniting practitioners from around the globe through friendship.

1. Global Masters Unite

This landmark event brought together elite Black Belts from nine countries, including South Korea, Germany, France, Australia, the USA, and Spain, all sharing the skills and passion they have honed in their respective corners of the world.

Notably, Master Mario from Australia endured over 24 hours of flight time just to attend Grandmaster Kang Jun's sessions. The entire venue was deeply moved by the pure dedication and focus of these international masters, who traveled thousands of miles solely to immerse themselves in the spirit and technique of Gongkwon Yusul.

2. Emotion and Tradition: The Black Belt & Calligraphy Ceremony

The seminar featured not only intense, sweat-drenched training sessions but also a deeply moving, milestone ceremony: The Black Belt Promotion and Calligraphy Scroll Presentation.

For the dedicated practitioners who have quietly trained in Gongkwon Yusul for over 15 years, receiving their official credentials, traditional calligraphy scrolls, and a warm embrace from Grandmaster Kang Jun was a monumental life event. Watching participants wipe away tears of gratitude while peers cheered them on reaffirmed the powerful, lifelong bonds that stretch across oceans.

3. More Than Martial Arts: 'Friendship' and 'Happiness'

While the packed two-day schedule flew by in a flash, the shared moments left a lasting impact on everyone involved. Though meeting in a foreign city as citizens of different nations, we were instantly connected by a single common language: Gongkwon Yusul. In no time, everyone was laughing, learning, and cheering each other on like a close-knit family.
