Samwonbon - 4. Jwajeongbon (좌정본/座定本)

 The Stage of Settling into the Art (술에 좌정하는 단계)

[English] Deepen your pract ice w i th Jwajeong (座定), the fourth stage of the Samwonbon ser ies. The name Jwajeong is der ived from the Hanja Jwa (座), meaning “to si t” or “to take one’s place,” and Jeong (定), meaning “to sett le, ” “to establ ish, ” or “to become f i rm ly rooted.”

Together , Jwajeong represents “The Stage of Sett l ing into the Art . ”

Bui lding upon the technical foundat ion establ ished in Ipgibon, pract i t ioners now work to embody the techniques and pr inciples of Gongkwon Yusul through cont inuous pract ice. Rather than consciously perform ing each movement step by step, the pr inciples gradual ly become deeply rooted in the body, al low ing technique, t im ing, balance, and f low to emerge w i th greater naturalness.

[한국어] 삼원본의 네 번째 단계인 좌정(座定)을 통해 수련을 더욱 깊이 발전시킵니다. 좌정이라는 명칭은 ‘앉다, 자리를 잡다’를 뜻하는 자리 좌(座)와 ‘정하다, 안정시키다, 확고히 자리 잡다’를 뜻하는 정할 정(定)에서 유래합니다.

이러한 의미를 종합하면 좌정은 “술(術)에 좌정하는 단계”를 의미합니다.

입기본에서 확립한 기술적 기반을 바탕으로, 좌정에서는 반복적인 수련을 통해 공권유술의 기술과 원리가 몸에 자연스럽게 자리 잡도록 합니다.

각각의 동작을 머리로 생각하며 하나씩 수행하는 단계에서 발전하여, 기술의 원리가 점차 몸에 깊이 체화되고 기술, 타이밍, 균형, 흐름이 더욱 자연스럽게 나타나도록 수련합니다.

이 단계에서 공권유술은 수련자의 몸 안에 자리 잡기 시작하며, 배운 기술은 점차 자연스럽고 본능적인 움직임으로 발전합니다.
