Begin your journey w i th Simmubon (尋武本), the foundat ional volume and f i rst stage of the Samwonbon ser ies. The name Simmubon is der ived from the Hanja Sim (尋), meaning “to seek” or “to explore”; Mu (武), meaning “mart ial art” or “the mart ial way”; and Bon (本) , meaning “foundat ion, ” “or igin, ” or “root .”
Together , Simmubon represents “The Stage of Seeking the Way.”
At this introductory stage, pract i t ioners explore the fundamental movements and under lying spi r i t of Gongkwon Yusul . Through this process, they begin thei r search for the mart ial way whi le developing the essent ial physical and mental foundat ion needed to progress toward deeper understanding and advanced mastery.
[한국어] 삼원본의 첫 번째 단계이자 기초가 되는 심무본(尋武本)을 통해 무도의 여정을 시작합니다. 심무본이라는 명칭은 ‘찾다, 탐구하다’를 뜻하는 찾을 심(尋), ‘무예 또는 무도의 길’을 뜻하는 무(武) , 그리고 ‘근본, 기원, 뿌리’를 의미하는 **본(本)**에서 유래합니다.
이러한 의미를 종합하면 심무본은 “무도의 길을 찾는 단계”를 의미합니다.
이 입문 단계에서 수련자는 공권유술의 기본적인 움직임과 그 안에 담긴 정신을 탐구합니다. 이러한 과정을 통해 무도의 길을 찾아가기 시작하며, 공권유술의 원리를 더욱 깊이 이해하고 높은 수준의 수련으로 나아가기 위해 필요한 신체적·정신적 기초를 확립합니다.
